Dale: Our company considered both Varsity and Pfastship. We decided to go with Varsity. Currently we have RPS (FedEx Ground) up and running in our shipping department. The change over went very well. Our shipping department regularly complements the system saying that their shipping lives are so much easier now. We are currently working on implementing FedEx Domestic and International. The interface between MAPICS and Varsity is pretty clean. It is controlled through a User Exit. So it is a seamless process from Picklist, to Mapics Shipment creation to entering the Varsity system for completing the shipment. If you have any other questions about Varsity, please feel free to contact me off line. Thanks! Our primary goal is to support parcel shipments but will want to expand it to include freight shipments in the future. We are considering solutions from Varsity Logistics and Pfastship and would like to learn about your opinions on either of these and why they did/did not fit your business requirements.
