Paperless MDCC supoorts TA transactions. We really dont want to write any
code, just wondered if a dumb terminal could be configured to support
just T/A, like the old DC-Connect interface from IBM.

Is any body out there (besides Dale, FW...already got that, and have Pete
looking into it) running MDCC T/A without a screen...i.e. time clock
   interface?

Thanks Much for the input .

We do this using dumb terminals & the newer IP terminals. We wrote a
program that allows them to scan or type their badge number & will do that
TA. We have other programs that will allow them to do job on/off &
   inventory transactions.
We populate TRDATA to do the transactions & then allow the unattached jobs
   to process them.
Any help you need let me know. The programs are not real difficult once
you get one written the others are pretty easy.

       Ref : Time / Attendance
I have a customer who has the 'paperless' data collection product and
would like to use dumb time clocks to record, swipe, TA in /out and
   feed
       PLMC, PMC, PR, etc.
I am an 'application guy', and dont really have the tech. background
   to
       answer this inquiry.
I was wondering if anybody had any experience in this area and had any
suggestions , hardware wise, and or 'issue' wise.
       Thanks
