Barbie, I looked into this a long time ago.. So I am not sure this still applies. Let's say your env is MM I believe the language library would be higher in the library list then AMALIB, AMFLIB, AMTLIBx... What I thought it did was create a language library/overlay library. In your case a French overlay library and a German overlay library. for example OVERLAYF (French) OVERLAYG (GERMAN) you would then manually create 2 new MMLIST records. That would be an exact duplicate of the MM. An MF record with the OVERLAYF library before the AMALIB and a MG record with the OVERLAYG library before the AMALIB again. If the user pick the env, then the French would enter MF and the Germans MG. If the signon has a proc to take them directly then 2 new procs would need to be created and the French user to the French proc and the German user to the German proc and the US user would not have to change. This is not a difficult as this looks... I HOPE... contact me offline if you have any other questions I hope this is what you are looking for Pete Olshavsky Ind Mapics Programmer/Systems Analyst Barbie Fitts <Barbie.Fitts@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Has any one encountered the need to run MAPICS on a single AS/400, in a single environment, in multiple languages and using the PTF SH14389 (ability to run multi-language in a single environment)? I am trying to understand how our customers run globally using MAPICS in a single environment. The 3 countries that would be using the system is France, Germany, and the US. Any implementation suggestions or comments would be most helpful. Sincerely, Barbie Fitts Sr. Business Consultant MAPICS, Inc.
