I've discovered a lot of companies did the CYYMMDD for Y2K. It fit into the packed fields without resizing at all. Easy to do. Moderately annoying for programmers, but not that big a deal. And never any 4-digit years? Did XA predate the date data types? Thanks again, db -----Original Message----- Most things display as MM/DD/YY. Now they are stored at CYYMMDD so today would be 1040621 last year would be 1030621.
