Kris, Thanks for your advise. We are just in the evaluation stage, but to my opinion ECCA can tremendously reduce our work load on local currency conversion. I have run the tool few times and the high level testing of before and after conversion data looks to be good. If we use the tool, we will use as it is the way it is working and then work out the impacts due to fixed exchange rate. Thanks Selva <Kris.devlieger@xxxxxxxxxx> Sent by: mapics-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx 04/26/2004 01:06 PM Please respond to MAPICS ERP System Discussion <mapics-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To <MAPICS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx> cc Subject Fw: IFM Financial Division Currency(2) PS: It is normal standard ECCA works with a fixed rate. This is how the EURO conversion is done (by law, not by programmers) I mentioned ECCA as a starting point for your problem, don't expect it to be the whole solution. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Kris.devlieger@xxxxxxxxxx> To: "MAPICS ERP System Discussion" <mapics-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, April 24, 2004 1:39 PM Subject: Re: IFM Financial Division Currency > I cannot help you much on this one I am afraid, I never needed to dive into > ECCA sources. > Normally MAPICS always uses the same function (something like AXZX40) to > retrieve exchange rates at a given date (= one of the parameters).
