Switching from monthly to 445

We are doing a study of the effort and benefits of switching from calendar 
months to 4 week 4 week 5 week periods.   We are not going to change the date 
of our year end, which is October 31.   Most of our environments are using IFM 
but one is still on old Accounting Management.   Has any of you done this 
switch?  Has anyone researched this and decided not to switch?
