Steve, I will be attending the Spring IBM iSeries Tech conf in June in NOLA, the FALL COMMON in Toronto, pSeries Tech in Vegas, Part of the Nanotech conf in NYC, and perhaps the JDE Quest conf in Denver, and SHARE/UB in NYC... ...and WAM JAM in November... Considering that V5R3 is coming out in late April, I'm holding off until June to give all the speakers time to get all the stuff into their handouts. ALOT of the speakers will have 5.3 stuff in thier handouts, but considering how IBM handles announcements/disclosures/etc (they do it the totally opposite way that MS does) I would prefer going to conferences where all the speakers have had opportunity have time to update and play. And, I'm going to the Fall COMMON for not only that reason but because OS/400 based consulting business is WAY DOWN due to general lack of interest in OS/400....it's not like you're seeing a OS/400 ad during the first quarter of the SuperBowl...I just can't afford to goto 2 COMMONs a year...and I think Toronto is a nice town... :) I'll goto pSeries tech because alot of people are going to AIX/L....and I've got 2 RS/6000's now that I'm working with here in the office.... OH, I'll also goto the Fall SHARE/UserBlue conf in NYC because I'll get the AIX/L and mainframe stuff all in one spot... OH, and I'll also be going to the Washington Area Midrange Users Group tech conf, the JAM, in November....a great one day conf and this year it will be cross platform - i & p Systems... .....kinda hard to find time to work any more...:) On Thu, 12 Feb 2004 sjones@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx wrote: > > > > > Just curious as to how many people will be attending the Mapics conference > this year?
