It is a condition of how you have 'allocation' tailored in User
defaults...
0 = No allocation [inventory is allocated only at pick-list print]
1 = Item balance only [inventory is allocated at order-entry]

I agree that the Audit fixes a host of errors from unknown sources.

Thomas,

I would interpret that to be when an order is "allocated" in COM. I do
not think it relates to pick list or not. The audit fixes force closes,
cancelations and other immediate transactions. PLREQ seems pretty
reliable otherwise.

Konrad

In my efforts to provide a Browser Inquiry View/Subset by
Item/Warehouse, I have fond that the PLREQ [Pick list requirements]
field DOES relate to COM, but only for Customer Orders that have been
selected for Pick list print.

There does not appear to be any single field in the Item Balance (or any
other file for that matter - confirmed by MAPICS Support) that provides
a summarized 'Open' order quantity by Item/warehouse.

Mark, The MPRPQ is Mfg Orders. Customer orders update the fld PLREQ in
Itembl Options 10 and 11 on menu AMIM70 re-sync those flds.

How/When does the On Order Production field (MPRPQ) in the ITEMBL file
get updated? Does the quantity increase when a CO is created and
decrease when a shipment is made?
