Mike, The biggest change in Essentials is conversion to concurrent usage. For us it coverted us to our new box at 25% of the price of the processor based upgrade. It also added the client apps as a gimmee (and REP too). Just be careful of concurrent usage what may seem like a great deal gets bad fast if you have to add users to support inquiry type usage. Unfortunately it didn't really change our ALF which is screaming high in relation to the actual enhancement and maintenance provided. We would love to just license the software and get rid of the support and ehancement $$$ to reduce our annual fee. If they ever adopt that it would force them to do real development activity again or cope with massive revenue loss and eliminate the half hearted efforts of the poorly integrated third party applications or client applications that really don't extend MAPICS in any saleable way (ie if the client apps were not "free" we would never buy them"). I am not sure if they still have the program either. The Greenstreak IBM and Essentials MAPICS programs may be history. The equivalent IBM box would now cost $250,000 more than it did last year. It is easy to predict it will be our last upgrade. Regards Konrad -----Original Message----- From: Michael J. What does this mean or include?
