We had this same issue in conjunction with our HighJump Data Collection. By creating a macro in Rumba we now have a system that logs out when the backup (or other dedicated task) begins. It will then log back in afterward - thus launching AMJ* jobs. It works well, the macro also enabled the system to post data on Saturdays when it has traditionally been off-line from Friday's backup. In addition, our MAPICS backups are scheduled thru MAPICS's scheduler. And our related jobs are run thru AS/400's WRKJOBSCDE command. That's what we use, and it works great. It totally automates any screen processing you need. You can also do a "cheap out" by using a Windows macro at a specified time to run a script that will sign a user on after the subsystems are started (I assume you use the "end of backup procedure" to do that), and record a macro to sign a user on, hit enter an extra time or two on the first menu, then do you CAS, 3, 12, and so on, then sign the PC off in the macro. We use that to run system backups every week. Dale Gindlesperger IT Manager Fleetwood Folding Trailers, Inc. When we do backups, we end all subsystems. When we restart them, we want to be able to restart this unattached job automatically, without any manual intervention. Is this possible? How? Thanks in advance.
