Thanks for the feedback. This has been isolated to the order release process. When we use the order release selection from the MRP menu, the out put reports show some wierd information. On the report AMI4M - Order Release Batch Extract and B/M Explosion we will see something like File - ITMBL RECORDS TO BE UPDATED 0 RECORDS TO BE ADDED RESERVE RECORDS ADDED POMAST 0 67 0 POITEM 0 159 0 ETC. But, by the short time it takes to complete the next step in the process and we see the AMI4N - ORDER RELEASE AND MATERIAL DETAIL UPDATE WE SEE THE FOLLOWING: File - ITMBL RECORDS TO BE UPDATED 7 RECORDS TO BE ADDED RESERVE RECORDS ADDED POMAST 3 0 0 POITEM 0 7 0 ETC. IN OTHER WORDS, WHAT HAS HAPPENED IS THAT WE NOW HAVE 67 BLANK PO'S IN THE SYSTEM. Now it is a problem -----Original Message----- From: Konrad Underkofler [mailto:kdunderk@hoshizaki.com] Sent: Wednesday, August 28, 2002 9:30 AM To: 'mapics-l@midrange.com' Subject: RE: Purchase Order Release Process Jeff, We have had the same problem on occassion related to EPDM issues. Have you checked the planned order and requirements file after a planning run to see if they appear normal? That could isolate it to either the MRP run or order release. Also, trapping a joblog from the MRP run could help since MRP is pretty good about sending messages about errors to the joblog as indivdual errors are encountered. The only real strange thing we have seen in MRP R6 is the planning run status report now does strange things based on effectivity date in ITMRVx files. The record below is not missing just not active on the current date in MRP. PLANNING RECORDS MISSING PLANNING WAREHOUSE 1 PEACHTREE CITY MATERIALS 1 SITE MFG - ITEM - - DESCRIPTION - FILE 7730I3656 SILICONE TUBE 3/16 X 5/16 ITMRVAL0 Hope this helps a little, Konrad Hoshizaki America Inc. _______________________________________________ This is the MAPICS ERP System Discussion (MAPICS-L) mailing list To post a message email: MAPICS-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/mapics-l or email: MAPICS-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mapics-l.
