Paola,

We use Warehouse Rx from Eskay in conjunction with our
automated storage and retrieval system to manage our
raw materials inventory and dispatch totes to MAPICS
mfg orders. We did the implementation using custom code
and sockets programming and it seems to be working fine.
Normal IM Offline transactions are used to keep the
balances in sync. It would be nice if MAPICS had a more
open and extensible inventory system but as long as you
can place most of the burden on the warehouse management
system just about any package should work fine.

The biggest issue for us was control of QC inventory.
Warehouse Rx considers everything to be in inventory
after receipt (even if held) and MAPICS does not include
QC items in the balance until they are inspected.

Good luck!
