Bill, We run three environments (one production, two sales) due to differences in transfer cost from mfg to sales and don't have any problem using different item types in different environments. In fact we don't even use the same item number for the same item in different environments. We differentiate the inventory by warehouse, location and item class. The only real patch we have made is to repeat the mfg order as a purchase order (change the M to a P) to bind the production to the sales environments so availability will work. We are open to creative ways to make it better. Any other suggestions? Regards Konrad
