We find that report writers like AS400 query are easy to use, however, the 
users always struggle with the data base and they can get into trouble not 
knowing enough about the data they are getting.  We have over 1,900 queries 
that are connected to menus that users can call on their own.  I shutter when I 
see a high paid executive downloading files and playing with Xcel or Access.  
Their time can be better spent using the information vs gathering it.  I feel 
IS needs to discover what information users need and provide it.  However, I am 
not promoting processing jobs like a data center in the old days.
