To all -

Well, I looked at the OPTimizer via a Web demo yesterday. Looks like a nice utility that fills a big, gaping hole in MAPICS. I feel confident that it would meet our needs nicely.

I am a bit miffed, however, at the thought that we have to pay for this "fix" after paying bunches for PCC and PUR MAPICS modules. (I'm miffed at MAPICS Inc., not at Midrange Software, who are, after all, trying to make a buck where they see an opportunity!)

We are going to have to "try" the manual route first before management will entertain the idea of paying for a solution. Sigh.....

Hi Joan,
Please let me know your impression of Optimizer.  I agree with you about the
manual input required in vanilla MAPICS especially as more companies are
sending out more work they used to do inside.
