Forwarded by moderator on behalf of Bonnie Lokenvitz [Bonnie_Lokenvitz@cooksonpm.com]: ------------------------------------------------------------------- We have a re-pack function that we do for one of our customers. They can order full cartons or partial (repackaged) items. These items are coded for discrete allocation. All items are stored with stocking UOM of each. For the repack, we have created a new warehouse location and do an inter-warehouse transfer to the repack location based on a custom pick list. (Partial orders are rounded up to full carton quantities and ordered by warehouse location). What I want to do is to allocate (in SLALLO, SLQNTY and where ever else its needed) the inventory needed for the inter-warehouse transfer for the period of time it takes to print the custom repack replenishment pick list, pick it and stock it into the repack location. I would deallocate when the OFFTRN records (IW,RW are created). Other ERP systems have a Warehouse order function that would handle this . We have the basic Mapics products (COM & IM and no warehouse product). Has anyone else done this? I am looking at the Mapics program AMISLA0R, Allocation management, but don't know if it could be called like an API. Would I also need to update the PLREQ in the item balance record? All thoughts are appreciated.
