Mapics Environment: DB or Y2K (Mod 4),
with IM, PC&C and PDM

Hi Mapics ML:

In the Work Center Master file (WRKCTR), there is a field called "Date this
Record Last Maintained" (MDATE) that does not appear to be updating correctly
in our system.

For example, I just updated our Work Center Labor Rates (Standard and Current)
and when I look at the changes to MDATE, they are not uniform and most of the
changed dates don't make any sence.

For example, a few show the actual dates (either 11/16/00 or 11/17/00) I
entered the changes into PDM's File Maintance. But most either retain the
previous date and change it to some other date.

I'm wondering if this field is even used by Mapics? When you look at the
"Production Facility Inquiry" screen (AMVD61), there is no mention of MDATE
here.

When I printed a Query report showning all the Work Center settings for our
company, including the MDATE dates, I became suspicious of the correctness of
MDATE because the dates shown appeared very old. We usually update our Labor
and Overhead Rates yearly.

I went to the Mapics Support Website and I was unable to find anything on point
about this subject.

If you have any information about the use and updating of MDATE in the WRKCTR
file, please respond to this posting.

I look forward to hearing from you and I hope you all have a very enjoyable
weekend. (Don't forget the "Civil War" football game between Oregon State and
the Univ. of Oregon on Saturday afternoon. The winner will probably go to the
Rose Bowl for the PAC10.)

Regards....
