its rather simple, all manuals all written by individuals
who know how to use the software already, but don't
understand the information concepts behind it all.

that's why manuals make sense when you know
what your doing already.

although the CD manuals in PDF format have made it
easier to search for stuff.

Note:  when printing pdf's to non post script printers
its usually better to select 'print as an image'.
