I use IBM's iSeries Access for Linux. It appears faster than TN5250 and
TN5250J. The key mapping and other options are easy to configure and is
very stable and only uses about 5 meg per session. The drawbacks are the
M$ font that IBM uses, and it can't be made full screen. All 5250
emulators need a launcher(s) configured, so there is no added work
there. The other aspect I like is it includes the *Nix 5250 ODBC
drivers. This allows me to download DB2/400 data easily into Open
Office. It can be a bit slow, as most ODBC drivers are.

The LP5250 portion of TN5250 works quite well for printing from a system
i and that function is not included in IBM iSeries Access for Linux (at
least I haven't found a way).
