Sounds like HostGator might be your host?

Re: [LinuxDesktop4i] .bin file and other annoyances
Well I just checked my hosting plan, and I got a stealth upgrade at some
point. My only concern was bandwidth an storage, and apparently I've been
upgraded to unlimited on both sometime in the last year. I'm working on
getting something up now. Hosting it myself will let me do some stuff like
drop VM images that have any setup and changes I made a a reference point.

Starting a blog is a good way to get your knowledge out there on the web.
I've found myself looking back at my own blog when i didn't remember a
problem i solved earlier cleanly.
After some time, it can also be a very rewarding experience. I run my
own instance of Wordpress, which isn't much of a hassle
maintenance-wise since auto-updates where introduced.
By now, i have hundreds of subscribers and get thank you mails or
comments every other day. To me, this shows that i'm actually helping
someone else have a less frustrating day.
