Starting a blog is a good way to get your knowledge out there on the web.
I've found myself looking back at my own blog when i didn't remember a
problem i solved earlier cleanly.
After some time, it can also be a very rewarding experience. I run my
own instance of Wordpress, which isn't much of a hassle
maintenance-wise since auto-updates where introduced.
By now, i have hundreds of subscribers and get thank you mails or
comments every other day. To me, this shows that i'm actually helping
someone else have a less frustrating day.
