In the code for TN5250 we do an assert() in various places for various reasons. When that assertion fails, windows will tell you "The application requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way."

To find out more info about where the error occurred, please create a trace file. After it crashes, look at the last few lines of the tracefile where it explains why there was an assertion.

Please post these messages to the mailing list.

I don't use the Windows version much, so I don't know if this is "normal" behavior or not. Help - About shows version 0.17.3. I signed off when I went to lunch and came back to an error message that had popped up.

The title is "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\TN5250\TN5250.EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
