No, copying us5250.map into .Xdefaults will not work. When running xev and your 122 key keyboard, what does xev say for the KeyPress event when you press F13 (I think F13 is it's own key, right?)?

When I press F13 in xev it says it is "prior". But what does it matter? Where can put in scancodes to make it say any symbol I want? In X? In showkey in returns scancode 100
