Hello everybody, there's on more i18n-thing left: Euro currency support. IBM created a couple of new codepages (aka CCSIDs) that have an Euro currency symbol. If recode suports these, it should be easy to add them. If not there would be an easy workaround: The new codepages are exact copies of old ones except for one symbol. The international currency symbol (¤) has been replaced by the Euro currency symbol. The following table from http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/euro/roadmap.htm shows the codepages and the code possition where they differ. New Old Code Country Code Code Pos. Page Page 1140 37 9F United States, Canada, Netherlands, Portugal, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand 1141 273 9F Austria, Germany 1142 277 5A Denmark, Norway 1143 278 5A Finland, Sweden 1144 280 9F Italy 1145 284 9F Spain, Latin America (Spanish) 1146 285 9F United Kingdom 1147 297 9F France 1148 500 9F Belgium, Canada, Switzerland 1149 871 9F Iceland The URL above also says: Microsoft is adding the euro to the 125x series of code pages. It has been added at 0x80 except for CP 1251 where it was added at 0x88. Dietmar
