ISTR there being some issues with keep-alives, timing marks, and
telnet connections in older versions of OS/400. Try a Google Groups
search for "keepalive" or "timmrktimo" in comp.sys.ibm.as400.misc, and
have a look at the TIMMRKTIMO parameter in CHGTELNA.
You could also try running tn5250 with the trace=filename.txt argument
and see if anything happens just before you get disconnected.
