Keyboard mapping for xterm is also handled by X-resources. Because you
changed the resource class name of xterm, the mapping is not read
anymore. I didn't notice this, because I doubled my whole xt5250
resources to xt5250-2 in order to test it, and all worked fine.

Perhaps it's really easier to follow the already posted other aproach,
using a separate resource file for colors and using xrdb to load it.
But then, you have also to load a resource file with your old colors, if
you want these.

If You only want to change the background color, You can also
change the copied xt5250 script, reverse the -name change and
load a single resource with -xrm 'xt5250*color0: azure' instead.

My english is not so good, so I hope, You understand, what I mean.
