Numbers using 10key

I have several users using tn5250 v0.16.  Randomly they are entering a
number in a single digit field (check digit) and hit the Tab key to go to
the next filed(Field exit not working in this version) and gives invalid
character message.  Note if the user uses the numbers above the alpha keys
it works fine(no error message)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
