I had already arrived at this conclusion, but hadn't gotten around to determining what the settings needed to be in TERMCAP Your suggestion of using vi with Ctrl-V made this easy, so I went ahead and set up termcap... works with the F-keys, now... I just have to get the rest of the "special" keys straightened out, shouldnt be a problem, I just need to do it :) > > You also have to make sure that SHIFT-F1 is generates a different > escape code sequence than plain F1 does. I'm familiar with the basics of vi, and I use it all the time, but never noticed the Ctrl-V option. That helped a lot, thanks... > > I thought that a terminal description was included with tn5250, but > thats probably for linux. > > Bill Suetholz Yep, it is for Linux or something else -- at any rate, I can't make it work with FreeBSD :) However, I'm on the right track, now. thanks! +--- | This is the LINUX5250 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to LINUX5250@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to LINUX5250-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to LINUX5250-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
