Peter,

this brings up a interesting point...that being the lack of
standardization of linux.  It's fast become vendor centric in that if
your package is designed around a specific flavour of linux, then that's
what you're going to have to use...or you can run multiple servers with
multiple dialects and hope for the best....

I"m noticing this at my kid's school...we pulled all the M$ crap out of
the classroom with the exception of K and put ltsp in.  Kids and staff
love it.  But we've got Koha (library) that requires debian, ltsp that's
basically red hat....and I'm not going to bring in Suse to make me even
more schitzoid!   And on top of that I still had to maintain a small M$
presence as the core school app runs on MS Server 2003....  OY!
