Is there something you can't do with Java + jt400 ?

YAJL is a RPG, so I wouldn't think you'd want to use it from Java.

iSeries?

Knowing Java isn't a problem, but knowing RPG and willing to write it is.
;-) I'll look at the YAJL utility. Thanks!

Take a look at Scott Klement's YAJL.

My experience: a middle-skills experienced RPG programmer. Learning
has been painful but possible. Consuming .json, in and of itself is
fairly straight forward. The web services piece is still an issue for
me. The folks here have been kind and helpful.

My point is: If I can do it, so can most anyone. With today's RPG you
may very well be able to write your own solution.

ps... YAJL does away with your need to know Java; RPG is all you will
need to do the job..

It's been a while since I've done this, so I'm wondering what
everyone
else
is doing, since there may have been some updates and/or new packages
out there. I'll be working on a project that is doing backend
requests to a RESTful service that will be posting small financial
transactions. The endpoints I'll be using are using JSON, but that
shouldn't really matter.
