Usually, the dumps could help you to identify any potential error in your
application. So, suggest to do some analysis on the dumps before you go on
to disable them.
If you confirm that you are using J9 and really wish to disable the dumps
, you can try -Xdump:none options to the JVM . The way to setup it for
RPG program could be found from here:

prevent core dump?
I have an RPG program that runs a java program. when there is an error
the job performs a core dump. The processes of dumping really eats up
system resources.
is there a way to prevent the system from doing a dump?
