Are you talking about a Java program that interacts with a native
display file?
If so, I'm pretty sure that's _not_ possible. The only way you could
possibly do that is to setup a client / server structure where a native
program (RPG, COBOL, or even CL) communicates with a java program
running in batch.
Seems everything in Java with the iSeries is so complex.
It's really not ... Java on IBM i is primarily intended to operate as a
server and/or running in batch.
Need some help to get something simple setup so I can then progress onto
more complex topics.
Why don't you try describing what you are trying to do and folks can
chime in with ideas.
