Have the CL program generate a key that's passed to the java program ... which does it's work and sticks the value in a keyed data queue. The CL can then use the QRCVDTAQ api to get the value based on the key it passed in.

That way there's no risk of multiple users colliding.

You could use the job number as the data queue key.
