Hmm. It appears that the Linux box is unable to resolve the URL.

[root@localhost root]# telnet CENSORED.CENSORED.com 8476

telnet: wintouch.touchtonecorp.com: Temporary failure in name resolution
CENSORED.CENSORED.com: Host name lookup failure
[root@localhost root]#
[root@localhost root]# telnet CENSORED.CENSORED.com 80
telnet: wintouch.touchtonecorp.com: Temporary failure in name resolution
CENSORED.CENSORED.com: Host name lookup failure

But if I do it by IP address, I get

[root@localhost root]# telnet xx.xx.xx.xx 8476
Trying xx.xx.xx.xx...
Connected to xx.xx.xx.xx.
Escape character is '^]'.
