If this is the case, then you could simply check the job name ... which is available in the program status data structure ...

The program isn't being called FROM java ... it's being invoked by a remote command server. It's the same way a program would be invoked from .NET or (I assume) PHP. In this particular case a java program is interacting with the remote command server.
