I am trying to insert data in a table with CCSID 5026 (Japanese)
using JDBC and SQL, i get the data in XML file which is defined in
UTF-8, so when i open the XML file in Browser i can see proper
Japanese characters but when i insert this data in table, i get
garbage. Is there some thing i need to set in JDBC connection
parameter or convert string before inserting. I am using prepared
statement to insert data.

Does the user profile you are using to make the jdbc connection with have the correct CCSID?

I'm assuming the field you are trying to put data into is double byte enabled.
