Basically, you create an updatable result set and you can iterate through
it, then update each record just like you would with a READ and an UPDATE in
RPG. You can also insert new records, just like a WRITE statement.

I vaguely recall that the ability to go backwards in a resultset was not initially available, but added later. Perhaps it would be a good thing to see if the JDBC driver available in the jt400 toolbox on the machine implements this feature?

I have not used it personally but looked into it some years ago.
