I dislike the way RPG supports NULL.  In my case, its not the %nullind() bif 
but the fact that you can't have a null RPG variable.

Basically, I don't see much difference between

if myField <> *ALL9;
  //do something
endif;

and 

if not %nullind(myField);
  //do something
endif;

Though I must admit I think that an SQL style test would be prettier..

if myField is not NULL;
  //do something
endif;



What I dislike is having to code:

if noDataFlag;
  %nullind(myField) = *ON;
else;
  %nullind(myField) = *OFF;
  myField = myVariable;
endif;

instead of simply being able to do:

myField = myVariable;
