Yea, I think null works here. Do we really want to go back to having 
999999
in fields to test for 'nothing'. That, and date data types will only let
you enter valid dates anyway.

I'm trying to derive a date range from a table.  However, if I don't find
any available dates, I want to be able to assign a default date to the
pickup schedule.  I tried using a date of 0, but it won't let me.  Any
ideas on what I should be sending it so that I know it's not a real date?
