I had the same issue and tried lots of the things suggested previously, 
however the only thing that worked for me was to place the classpath on 
the SystemDefault.properties file in my \home\<user profile> folder in the 
IFS. The entry in the file would look something like:

java.class.path=/home/adpgmmkb/TestClass

The only difference was my code was in a jar file.
