Larry,

I'd be curious to look at your RPG code.

Why isn't this just two static methods?  One call would get passed the
passedTransformer and passedResult to initialize the conversion (you'd never
do these calls separately).  Why doesn't transform() accept a streamSource
and call createSource from transform (or just put the createSource code
inside transform).
