Larry,

Have you tried calling createNewFile() on the File object when setting up
streamResult and before doing the transform?  I'm not sure that would solve
the problem but that's what I'd try.  I don't see any
flush/close/delete/finished methods on the File, StreamResult, Result,
Transformer, or TransformerFactory classes/interfaces.
