Insignificant? That would depend on the URL he is using. If it's simply
a static page, then the performance is closer to 'insignificant'.

I wonder why every 5 seconds. Is this a performance test, an up-time
test, or is it an futile attempt to overpower an iSeries with an Intel
box?

Just wondering,

Subject: HTML Get

Good Day,

I do not know if this is the correct forum for this question, but I hope
I can get some response.

The network administrator on my company has created a process that runs
on a windows server. This process runs a HTML GET on our ISeries
webserver every 5 seconds to monitor if the web server is up.
Will this process have a performance effect on the ISeries.
He says it will be so insignificant, we should not consider it.

Is he correct?

Thanks
