HOLD ON.

As I stated in my previous post on the matter, Michael (or anybody else)
may feel perfectly free to post ANY Java question here (as long as
they're working with the iSeries). However, you may not get a response
to something that is more related to basic Java than to the iSeries.

I also specifically stated that if you have a problem with someone
else's post, tell me directly, do not take it upon yourself to correct
other people's posts. That is my job.

Finally, if this were a perfect world, what I'd like to see is someone
steering Michael in the right direction and then gently pointing him to
the appropriate online resource to address his problem. Remember, the
vast majority of iSeries programmers are Java newbies, so the
appropriate answer here might help a lot of lurkers who are afraid to
ask the question.

So, am I clear?

1. ANY Java-related question is fair game if you're working on an
iSeries project

2. The more iSeries related it is, the more likely you'll get an answer
here.

3. If you believe a question is answered somewhere else, please point
the person asking the question to the appropriate URL.

4. Do NOT correct other people's posts. Email me directly instead.

At some time, I'd love to put together a list of all the newbie
questions that have been asked here and make a FAQ out of them. That
would be a great benefit to the community.

Joe
