As I mentioned before, I'm new in this area. I'm still try to do some research on this. The main objective is to modernize our legacy system. I would prefer MVC design that provided good UI. If in the future I need to give a application an web access, I can still use the model with the standard HTML UI. Haven't had a chance to look into SWT yet. Will check it out sometime. -----Original Message----- From: java400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:java400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Joe Pluta Sent: Saturday, September 11, 2004 6:32 PM To: 'Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400' Subject: RE: MVC and applet Well, if you insist on a Java client, which Java UI do you plan to use? Swing is okay, but not particularly pretty. SWT is much nicer in appearance, although it requires some code on the client machine and thus is a bit harder to work with in an applet. There are also any number of Java frameworks, both commercial and Open Source, available for use. Which one do you choose? I'll be interested to see what your final product looks like. Joe
