1. You have to create the SystemDefault.properties file yourself. The system checks for it in /QIBM/UserData/Java400/ (system wide) and also in your home directory (user specific). A user's file overrides the system wide file. To change the default JVM, just create the file with one line: java.version=1.3 2. AFAIK, PTF or OS upgrade is the only way. 3.
