If a mailing list has java in its name I would expect to discuss the java way to do the job. If I want to talk about the rpg way, I would (and sometimes do) adress this to a rpg list or forum or newsgroup. I see a need for a place to discuss java issues in the as400 environment and ift this mailing list doesn't want to do this, well then I have to search (or work) for alternatives. To the over and over again topic how dead rpg might be, or it will live forever and how long forever might be, in my opinion, that's very important for rpg programmers, but less important for java programmers and absolutely unimportant for people having knowledge in both.
