Hi Chad, > were does the file reside in the example they give? I assume you mean the XML file. That's up to you. It looks for a file named buildfile.xml in the current dir by default or you can pass -buildfile filename. Here's the main Ant URL: http://ant.apache.org/ This page tells you about arguments and locations: Running Ant http://ant.apache.org/manual-1.6beta/running.html The Ant jar is included in the Tomcat download in common/lib. Also, you don't have to use Ant. jspc ( bat and sh ) are available in the bin directory. These links should help for jspc and another way of precompiling at startup: http://mikal.org/interests/java/tomcat/archive/view?mesg=39711 http://mikal.org/interests/java/tomcat/archive/view?mesg=39704 Joe Sam Joe Sam Shirah - http://www.conceptgo.com conceptGO - Consulting/Development/Outsourcing Java Filter Forum: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/ Just the JDBC FAQs: http://www.jguru.com/faq/JDBC Going International? http://www.jguru.com/faq/I18N Que Java400? http://www.jguru.com/faq/Java400 ----- Original Message ----- From: "cornelius, chad" <chad.cornelius@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "'Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400'" <java400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, December 16, 2003 3:27 PM Subject: RE: Initial JDBC Hits to AS/400 DB using Tomcat is Very Slow? > Thanks Joe...
