Stephen,

Struts now has a legacy (and you thought green screen was legacy) jar
file you need to continue using the Struts data source. That should get

you to the next release of Struts where the plan is to remove this
support.
During that time you can explore using Tomcat's support for a JNDI data

source.

I don't have time right now to get you an example but I will follow up

with one when I get a chance.

I have been using Struts 1.1 rc1 with my Web application. I recently
dowonloaded and installed the stable release of Struts 1.1. I am using
the
org.apache.commons.dbpc.BasicDataSource class to connect to my data
source.
Since installing Struts 1.1 I am now getting a message that
org.apache.commons.dbpc.BasicDataSource is not found. The release
notes say
that this was discontinued in Struts 1.1rc2. What data source are we
supposed to use now and how do you configure that in the
Struts-config.xml
file?

Thanks for any input here as I am retreating back to Struts 1.1rc1 to
get
the project back up.
