You should still be able to use those classes, you just need to download the Commons DBCP distribution separately, and add the commons-pool.jar and commons-dbcp.jar files to your project. All Struts did was to decide to stop including those as part of the Struts distribution. A lot of people were not using them and it just adds to the size of the download. I am using them with Struts 1.1 GA without problem. I recently dowonloaded and installed the stable release of Struts 1.1. I am using the org.apache.commons.dbpc.BasicDataSource class to connect to my data source. Since installing Struts 1.1 I am now getting a message that org.apache.commons.dbpc.BasicDataSource is not found. The release notes say that this was discontinued in Struts 1.1rc2. What data source are we supposed to use now and how do you configure that in the Struts-config.xml file? Thanks for any input here as I am retreating back to Struts 1.1rc1 to get the project back up. _______________________________________________ This is the Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400 (JAVA400-L) mailing list To post a message email: JAVA400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/java400-l or email: JAVA400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/java400-l.
